MSNBC, the 24-hour cable news channel based in the United States and available in Canada. Its name is a combination of “Microsoft” and “NBC”.

A separate company, msnbc.com, is the news website for the NBC News family, featuring original stories and video as well as content from NBC News and partners such as The New York Times, Newsweek and The Washington Post.[4]

Two partnerships with the name MSNBC were founded in 1996 by Microsoft and General Electric’s NBC unit, which is now NBC Universal. Although Microsoft and NBC shared operations of MSNBC cable at its founding, it was announced on December 23, 2005, that NBC Universal would purchase a majority stake in the television network, which left Microsoft with 18%. The two companies remain 50-50 partners in msnbc.com. MSNBC, like sister channel CNBC, shares the NBC logo of a rainbow peacock.

This site is the viewers blog and forum.

Love the show. Wondering who dresses your hosts. Ann is such a gorgeously attractive woman and everyday she wears a dark colored outfit. Some of her clothes are depressing. Dress her in beautiful bright colors please!!!!!! tHANK YOU

I wrote this tonight and would be honored to have you read it on the air, I feel so much pain and guilt tonight over the fires and what they have done read this live if you can and hopefully it touches someone.

A sad day with tears that fill ones eyes,
when one looks into a smoke filled sky.
An orange glow you watch from a distance,
    as it slowly fades away.
What was at your back door has moved on to destroy what you prayed it would leave alone,
as it knocked at your very own home.
Although it spared you and those you love it has moved on to affect so many more,
taking from them every dream and hope they had worked for leaving them in shelters, hungry, exhausted and more.
The exhaustion from the fight Mother Nature placed before you,
compares to nothing of your quilt as it keeps you awake.
How can you be happy it left you alone,
when it has taken from some many everything they owned?
How can you think about Thanksgiving or Christmas day,
when some are barely making through today?
As you climb into your bed you begin to cry wondering who, what and why?
What does one get in pleasure of starting such a destructive event?
Who do you think you are tearing apart millions of life’s?
Have you no conscious, of what you have done?
A sad day when one has no feelings for his fellow man,
an even sadder day when one came live with what he himself began.
Beat, tiered, hungry and exhausted from the fight ,
Sleepless due to the guilt of the orange moving sky!

Who ever you are let me speak for a Nation!!!!
Turning yourself in is your only salivation!!!

For Chris Mathews: Why has NOBODY asked what the difference betweeen someone from Cuba coming to this country illegally, and somebody from Mexico-or even Haiti-not being granted the same access and privileges?
    Could it be Politics?
Will you ask any candidate for President that question? (Or for that matter any of the xenophobes, like Pat Buchanon?)

Look forward to hearing…and seeing that…from you

    Sincerely,

When is any one at MSNBC get Keith Olberman out of the 8 o’ clock news? He is such an hater… his words are so vitriolic about everyone. We want our Media to be smart, opinionated but never so hateful. He acts like he is the best of them all: also he is the worst footnall commentator I have ever heard. If it wasnt For Chris Matthews, I would ever watch MSBC.Keith has no place in out Media especially right now when we are faced with so many importnat decisions about America. I am 78 yrs old and have been through a lot in my life and I know what the press is capable of doing or not doing. He hates every one.

For some time I have watched the Today show when I get and eat breakfast. I was glad when Katie Couric left, could not bear her. I think Ann Curry is the star of the show!!!!! She is so down-to-earth and does not put on any airs. I also like Campbell Brown. I would like to see Anne and the others wear brighter clothes, it would make her look so great!! Some do occasionally.
I do not know what happened to the show and why and when. It is all so confusing now. It is not like it used to be. Maybe this all came with the bigger and Better (??) studio arrangement. After a couple lines of talk there is an ad and that is the same with all shows. It is unbearable and why do they not do their ads all at once instead of breaking into something that is interesting. I cannot get interested in it any more. I am very disappointed. I know othesr are also. And the site is nearly impossible to find anything on. I wanted to know who the person was talking about the Sugar and Skin since I am a diabetic. Not sure if it is the right approach but would like to give it a fair trial. I could not see anything that discussed it on the Web page. It is all too crazy.

regarding rudi’s staffers not taking paychecks this month, why are all the talking heads so worried about it? First, it doesn’t mean that Rudi’s campaign is in trouble. His strategy is different. We will have to wait and see how effective it will be. In the mean time, if the staff wants to be “trifty” right now, it’s their choice. It’s not the end of the world. Also, what does it tell us about the commitment level of the staffers? They believe in the cause, that what it says. More power to them. Not all of life is about how much money you make. The talking heads need to get a life.

About the woman who made her son stand on the street with a sign about being rude to his teacher. Way to go Mom.
What can parents do that gets their childrens attention now. If you take away items that you think are important to them that does not always work because they have so many other items to play with, and you try to purnish them some threaten to call the police, because this day in time we can’t even spank our children without the fear of getting in trouble with the SYSTEM. A spanking is not a whipping, of course I don’t mean beat the child, but a little spanking never hurt anyone. Our teacher’s can’t correct them because most parents get mad. I don’t see how teachers can do their jobs now because of can’t dos in our school. It all starts at home and how the parents deal with the child and most parents are to busy doing their own thing to discipline their children. The child standing on the corner must not be all bad because can’t you see most children pitching a fit, crying and screaming etc. saying you can’t make me do that. If this is what it takes to get their attention go for it.

Robin I wish you all the best in all that you do stay strong. I enjoy you and Diane very much. What a great team.

After watching the Ohio Democratic Debate between Senator Clinton and Senator Obama on MSNBC as well as the so called Debate Analysis with Keith Olberman, I am compelled to write in and denounce MSNBC as being unfair and unbiased in regards to the current fight between the Senators for the Democratic Nomination. Let me start out by saying that in the beginning, I was an Obama fan. As time wore on, I changed my view in large part due to the continuously unfair and obviously biased journalistic tactics used by MSNBC and particularly Keith Olberman. I have been a long time daily viewer of MSNBC and until recently much preferred the MSNBC Network rather CNN. I am disgusted with Keith Olberman and his constant “picking” at Hillary Clinton and the way that she has run her campain. Mr. Olberman has shown himself to be biased towards Senator Clinton since the beginning of this campain. I have yet to hear him make a positive comment about her. Senator Clinton has shown herself to be a highly respected and motivated politician throughout her career. To some how try to diminish her character in the eyes of the people who admire her for the work she has done both in the White House and as Senator for the State of New York and its people, is insulting to say the least. I will no longer watch MSNBC News or Mr Olberman and no longer support Obama due to the networks obvious bias towards Senator Clinton. It appears to me that MSNBC and Keith Olberman may be more afraid of a woman taking Office than someone who is obviously not prepared or experienced enough to govern this country.

I was most interested in tonight’s Hardball Show and the commentary related to Ferraro’s comments about Barack Obama today. Missing from the dialogue were opinions about where Hillary Clinton would be if it were not for her husband being the former President of the U.S. I would love Chris Matthews to direct some questions to his panelists about this. Most citizens in this country would have to admit that she would be one of the millions of lawyers crawling out of the woodwork in this nation and nothing more. I look forward to seeing some vigorous conversation on this issue, perhaps even this evening between coverage of the Mississippi primary and tomorrow evening on Hardball.

I have been a long time viewer of MSNBC and its news programs. However, I have been thoroughly disapointed in the coverage of your news programs on the Democratic primary race. Your reporting is so blantantly pro Obama and anti Hillary Clinton, particularly Oberman and Chris Mathews. Chris Mathews should quit his programs and go to work for Obama as he is so infatuated with him. I expect fair and balanced news reporting and therefore, I can no longer be a viewer or supporter of your network and will now get my news from PBS.

MSNBC Sunday and other related MSNBC so-called news sources
(dirt-reporters - talking-heads - teleprompt-readers) are just appalling with the station’s one-dimensional reporting on the Obama-Wright incident, and other so-called news. How convienent to leave out the entire story over and over again. For example, the Obama-Wright sermon reporting. Wright’s sermon was given years ago, was this reported? No. Instead on MSNBC-Sunday MSNBC got two young white women to discuss black worship and religion and its effect on the presidential race. Are these women and MSNBC newscasters responsible for their Rabbi or pastor’s words? Then to cover themselves MSNBC-Sunday had Al Sharpton on for a minute to give the impression or appearance of balanced reporting. How silly! Moreover, I would argue that the two white women who were on MSNBC-Sunday 3/16/08, don’t know anything about black churches, black worship or pastors, and has never been in a black church, yet they know the effect it will have on the presidential election–this is racists in itself, and is an allness fallacy — fallacious reasoning. They cannot speak for all Americans; they can only speak for themselves. Also, why is Obama responsible for the words of Wright? Is Clinton responsible for the racist words of Billy Grhaham who was invited by the Clintons to the White House on many occasions? Is McCain responsible for Jerry Falwell or Hague’s words? Why don’t the dirt-reporters make this comparison? Because they are not thinkers, thye are not reporters, they just follow the written script and the words of the unseen producers. What a shame! Why isn’t MSNBC reporting on this? Is MSNBC so hungry for dirt-reporting that MSNBC would dig up dirt from many years ago, present it as today’s news and try to influence voters, in order to help the other candidates. MSNBC, and others dirt-reporters must be paid a lot of money, because they have no standards or ethics. In my classm, my students laugh at what they see on American new sources, when I want to teach about the unethical practices of dirt-reporting on most TV stations (CNN, MSNBC, Fox, etc.) Who are the owners of these stations that insist and allow such media practices to occur–that’s the question? Who are the owners of America’s news media? Once a person research this answer, then that person will understand why the news media report its information as it does with its sprinkling of black dirt-reporters to assist them and hide behind. I believe that Americans are not as stupid as the media wants to report, and they can see what is being feed to them on a daily basis–24/7 - dirt, falsehoods, propaganda, Britney Spears, and breaking news. This is why I contribute to LINK TV.

I have been watching MSNBC since it’s beginnings. I have enjoyed hearing comments, from both sides of the political isle on your various shows. However, this Obama/Clinton contest has proven to be too much for Joe Scarborough. As this contest progresses “Morning Joe’s” comments about Obama have become more and more personal. His comments have become hate filled. As an African American woman of a certain age, I have seen and heard the covert comment of the Scarborough types for more than 50 years. How far will Scarborough go? Did you not learn anything from the Don Imus incident.

It is this kind of American (Joe Scarborough) who wants nothing to with a candidate who wants to represent all Americans. This kind of American will say and do all he can to keep us divided.

To the media, please stop referring to Rev. Wright as Obama’s former pastor when he just retired two weeks ago in anticipation of this story. He is still Obama’s pastor, advisor and mentor. He retired from the church, not Obama.

Rev. Wright has been ousted as the racist ignoramus his is, not the alleged highly educated, degreed military man who speaks several languages. He and the Obama’s know exactly what they are doing. They played on the guilt of those in the White race, the emotions of the Blacks and the ignorance of America’s voting young.

These people are racist, not unlike the KKK. Replace the white sheets with speeches. The Wrights and Obama’s breed racism and have been caught. The Black race has had to endure the backlash of these types of people from slavery to the present. People like the Obama’s and Wrights keep racial tensions alive. I don’t like racist or those who promulgate it no matter what the creed, color, religion, sex or speech of the breeder.

Why is this man still being considered as our leader? He’s racist, a liar and got caught being so–Do we need more proof?? REALLY! What? Why? Do we really mean to give Obama veto power! Now we are still giving him a chance to make yet another speech. Haven’t they said enough? Sen. Obama’s silence speaks volumes. We have heard enough from his kind. . .Race relations will NEVER be healed where Obama is involved!

I don’t care if Obama wasn’t present for all of these speeches or if Rev. Wright made thousands of speeches that were NOT inflammatory. It’s the ONE speech that is inflammatory that counts and having the judgment and fortitude to know the difference to remove yourself and your young impressionable children away from such filth and racism. You don’t make him a longstanding integral part of your immediate family and political association.

The Democratic Party needs to remove him as a candidate. This is my party, so far. I want Barack and Michelle out of my party. I do not want to be affiliated with this kind of hatred!! I want them out of my party. I am a 40-yrs of age black, female registered voter.

To the Democratic Party leaders, Hillary Clinton (and President Bill Clinton) is not a racist!

when i first started listening to msnbc i was impressed on how much i learned about politics. HOWEVER I HAVE started turning it off when Tucker is on any program. He is so negative about Obama why doesn”t he meet with Obama’s pastor and let him answer his questions instead of dragging Obama thru the dirt. This a big turnoff to listeners. Tucker might as well go out andcampaign for Hillery Clinton. What a disaster for the Democratic party and the nation.

Dr. Znigniew Brzezinski made very insightful comments about Barack Obama and his insightfulness and the shallowness of Hillary Clinton (who endorsed both the ideas of Saadam Hussein having weapons of mass destruction and an alleged alliance with Al Khaida) before the start of the war as did the John McCain.

He also stated that Mrs. Clinton’s foreign travel as First Lady was about as useful as Mamie Eisenhower’s and less extensive than his travel agent’s.

    Excellent interview Joe Scarbarough.

my comment regards the Obama/Wright issue. i am really wondering why this such as big issue. Barack Obama has had to defend not only his choice of religion, but his name and the now seemingly the color of his skin. To me the media is doing a wonderful job of keeping this story alive. I agree with Obama that it is time to move ahead to real issues that concern American people and put this nonsense in the closet where it belongs. I think the real problem for white America is that he is forcing them to address their own issues about race. I think it has also shown the Clintons for who they realy are. In the african american community they will see this as a another attempt to make a person seem un-american because he is not one of them. White America is use to making over the top comments about others and not being called on it so why is Obama being asked to justify comments by someone who is of a free thinking mind. I think that if this kind of nonsense continues you will not only once again alienate black america but you will succeed at having 4 more years of Bush politics. I’m sure you already know that you don’t have to dig very far into the Clinton skeleton closet to find dirt, but once again it white america and how soon we forget, but i feel that Obama should be commended on trying to run a clean honest campaign instead of daily assaults on someone else’s thought process of which he has no control.

Im very disappointed in the bias displayed against hilary clinton by two of your flagship hosts, keith olberman and chris matthews. olberman in particular has been extremely prejudiced in his nightly tirades against her for some weeks now. Once a regular fan of his, I’ve now tuned him out completely.

by the way, if these two supposed news personalities want to live up to their professional obligations, why now ask barak obama a tought question occasionally - like, for example, what is your position on “REPARATIONS”? DO either of them even have the courage to ask such a question. thank you.

Chris Matthews - you are discussing home morgages. I refinanced and did not know until I was signing the final papers that it was an arm. When I told the lender he hadn’t told me that at the beginning he just shrugged and said, “Oh, well. you’ll refinance again in 3 years.” Well I did because of the arm but had not intended to.
